What currency do they use in Bulgaria?

Local money is lev. There are 2 leva to each euro.  Lev is often written as BGN.
Do I take travellers cheques with me?
It is far easier to use your ATM card and withdraw local money from the ‘hole in the wall’ as you need it.  There are many ATM machines.

ACCOMMODATION IN BANSKO

What accommodation is there?
There are approximately 200 apartments on Bamro Holidays.  Studio apartments, one bedroom, two bedroom apartments three bedroom apartments and 5 bedroom apartments.
What is provided in each apartment?
Furniture, TV, bed lined and towels are all provided.  The kitchens are all fully equipped and have cooking facilities. Facilities of each apartment is also listed in the apartment description pages.

SKI LIFTS AND GONDOLA

Where can I hire skis?
There are many places to hire skis and snowboards.  We work with a very respectable company in Bansko and offer ski hire direct through our website click here to view ski hire
Where can I buy Lift Tickets?
There are kiosks at the Gondola where you can buy tickets for the following day up to 18.00 hours most days.

TRAVEL

How do I get from Sofia Airport to Bansko?
Sofia is 160KM from Bansko. There are buses and trains, but they are infrequent. You can hire a car.  However, the best way is to arrange a transfer by a specialist company like Mitch & Co Travel. The taxi will collect you from the airport terminal, take you to Bansko and collect you at the end of your holiday.
When I get to Bansko, how do I find the accomodation i booked?
See the maps on this website under the apartment you booked, alternatively if you book a transfer through us all the drivers are familiar with the apartments and will take you direct to your door..

Where do i get the keys from?

You will be met at the apartment complex by our Team. They will take you to your apartment, show you around and answer any questions about Bansko.

FOOD AND DRINK

Is Breakfast included?

No meals are included. All apartments are self catered, Welcome packs can be arranged before your arrival and can be purchase via our extras on the booking form.
